Advanced Placement (AP)

In the Advanced Placement (AP) program, students take a high school course that is college level work, and then take the AP test for the subject offered by the College Entrance Examination Board. A student who obtains an acceptable score on the AP test is awarded college credit at most colleges and universities. The College Board charges a fee for each AP test.
