The following documents are offered at our Site-in-a-Box workshops and assume you are using the Internet Explorer browser on a Windows computer. You can use other browsers on other computers, but you'll have to edit with html.
Adding a News Article takes you through the process of adding a news article to your department's pages.
Adding an Image shows you how to add an image to your gallery, edit it so it's not enormous, and then position it on your page—a news page or any Site-in-a-Box page. For info on how to crop an image, see Resizing Digital Photos in our Digital Cameras section.
Uploading a File and Linking to It guides you through the steps in uploading a file to Site-in-a-Box and then linking to it. (This technique works for all sorts of files: .doc, .ppt, .xls, .pdf, .zip, and so on.)
Before something (like a snapshot or some other graphic) is allowed on the SOESD site, we need to make sure that we have the creator's permission to use it AND—if anyone under 18 is in it—that we have permission from their parent or guardian to use their child's creation, likeness or voice.
