Student Behavioral Health and Wellness Team

CO-CREATING BELONGING, STRENGTHENING RESILIENCE, & FOSTERING WELLBEING

What Is Our Purpose?

The SOESD Student Behavioral Health and Wellness (SBHW) program is a multi-tiered interdisciplinary approach to supporting emotional and mental well-being in youth while directly teaching the skills and behavior necessary for success within the educational system and beyond.

Who May Use Our Services?

Our services are available to any of the 13 component school districts, including charter schools, in Southern Oregon. This includes district and building-level administrators, teachers, paraprofessionals, specialists, and community partners who serve any of the 13 component districts.

What Do We Do?

We offer multi-tiered systems of support that include both direct and indirect services. Our direct services feature 1:1 skills trainers and mental health practitioners who work closely with students, providing essential support to both students and staff. Indirect services encompass professional development, consultation, and assisting classroom teams with collaboration. We also work with administration to embed social emotional learning in all aspects of the school day. For more information about the MTSS services we offer, please see below.
