For substitutes that are Oregon PERS eligible, SOESD will deduct the 6% employee contribution from each check.

General Licensure Information
You must have your Oregon Teaching License before applying to be a Licensed Substitute. If you do not have a current Oregon Teaching License, contact the Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission for more information: http://www.oregon.gov/tspc/
TSPC Licensure Renewal Requirements
To renew your Oregon license, most license types require an application, fee, PEER form (if employed) and verification of Continuing Professional Development Units (PDUs):

A few license types require district sponsorship and proof of progress in your preparation program. Common document types required for reissuance of these sponsored licenses includes:
- Employer Sponsorship Letter to be obtained from a District
- Official Transcript Submission
- Letters from your college preparation program
Continuing PDUs
The following PDU Log/Certificate is used to report completion of Continuing Professional Development (PDUs). Upon completion of this form, please submit either through the Documents tab in your eLicensing account, or email to contact.tspc@oregon.gov. NOTE: Please do not submit any supporting documentation with your Log and Certificate. Upon review of your Log, the TSPC office will contact you if clarification is needed.
